1940's Speed Graphic 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Camera: This is one of the classic cameras of the 1940's. Almost all the newspaper photographers used the Speed Graphic, this size and the larger 4x5. The lens in this camera is the well known Kodak Ektar 10mm f 4.5, a great piece of glass. The lens is free of haze, fog, fungus, and scratches. The click f stops move smoothly, and the shutter fires nicely. This lens has 2 shutters; one is the between the lens Kodak flash Supermatic shutter, the other is the rear curtain focal plain shutter, with the maximum speed of 1000. Both work as they should. The miniature Speed Graphic was manufactured from 1938-1947. The rangefinder works as it should. The viewfinder is clear, the ground glass has no cracks or scratches, and the handle is strong. It has 2 focus knobs on a metal bed with chrome trim.
