Acoma Polychrome (Olla) Pueblo Native American Storage Jar: Acoma Polychrome (Olla) Pueblo Native American Storage Jar: These types of jars (ollas) were used for hauling and storing water. The entire surface of the Acoma polychrome storage jar is covered with painted designs. Many of the designs used on Acoma, Laguna, and Zuni pottery bear a strong resemblance to the fine-line hatching designs found on ancestral pottery from Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon. This piece measures 5.5 inches tall, with a 5" diameter mouth. Circa approximately 1910-1920.
