Victorian Hand Carved Canterbury: A lovely canterbury measuring 32" tall top measuring 24 x 13.25. 5 slots, with pierce carved design, scalloped top, cabriole plain legs. Canterburies were designed either to hold sheet music or as plate holders to stand by the supper table. These took flight because of Victorians love for the piano. They appeared first during the latter years of George III reign in England.
