1895-1899 Long Focus Premo 5 x 7 Camera: This model of the long Focus was made by the Rochester Optical Company between 19=895-1899. The brass Victor shutter fires strongly on the fast apeeds, unusual for a shutter that is 125 years old, although the slow speeds are quite sluggish. The Bausch and Lomb brass lens is totally free of cleaning marks, scratches, haze, fungus or separation. It is the best I have ever seen of any lens that is a century old. The f. stops move smoothly from f. 8 to f. 128. The triple extension bellows need a lot of help. The interior wood is beautiful. The ground glass is clean, and free of scratches or cracks. The film holder springs are strong.
