Keith Portrait Wet Plate 5x7 Camera Tailboard: This vintage studio camera does not come with a lens. It was made in Los Angeles, CA. by Garden and Williams in 1947. Considering its age, it is great shape. The bellows are light-tight, very supple, and they extend to 17". The back has tilts at the film plain, which become very useful. This camera comes with an additional double sliding back (known as a multiplying attachment), which disconnects easily when not is use. It permits the photographer to make, if desired, (2) exposures on one 5x7 glass plate or sheet film. It cuts down on the cost, but allows the use of a large format camera. It has a very strong tripod socket. If you win this lot and you are going to use barrel lenses, then you are in luck because this Keith Wet Plate camera comes with an installed Packard shutter, which works. (The air bulb and tube are not included). Without the multiplying attachment, this tailboard folds completely to a 6x10 block, which makes it a great field camera.
