1856 Civil War Burnside Carbine Model Four Rifle: Burnside Carbine in excellent condition. Breech loading, Clear inspector marks on the stock, screwheads good, very good bore, 20" barrel, 39.5" total length. Made by the Burnside Rifle Co. Providence, RI, this mark is on lockplate. Front site could possibly have been replaced. It is marked Marble, No. 6. The words, Cast Steel 1862 stamped on barrel. Matching serial numbers #23529, dated 1856.
